1984 Mitsubishi MT372
I have a 1984 Mitsubishi MT372 and I have just replaced the mule pulley drive belt. When it is engaged, the pulley guards get really hot after just a few minutes of use. I noticed the bar was out of the adjustment area (in between the arrows where it is stamped run). I made an adjustment on the threaded rod attached to the engage lever. I'm right at the end of the threads and the bar is about on the top arrow now, when engaged. Any ideas? Belt too short? The new belt is 109" and the old measured 109.5". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Some pictures might be helpful. I'm having trouble envisioning this.

I found the manual and instructions so I'm all set with that. I do need to cross reference the vbelt. It is off a Haban MTM48 belly mower for the mule pulley, part number 14323. Does anyone have a cross ref or an original belt length? Thanks.
