Dave, I recently bought a 2007, 2015 with an ML-104 loader and it wouldn't go into float either. I am guessing that the ML-106 loader uses the same hydraulic valve made by prince hydraulic's and the detent assembly is corroded and stuck. I did a search here for float, or loader float or something and found that this is fairly common with this valve. The problem is that moisture gets in the detent assembly and things get rusty. Mahindra does not sell parts to repair this , my local dealer checked for me. They want to sell you the whole valve for more than $400. It can be repaired, I repaired mine myself. The detent assembly is located on the bottom of the valve inside an aluminum cap held on with two socket head capscrew's. The parts inside are a spring, tapered plunger, and two ball bearing's, these fit in a sleeve with a groove in the bottom. The rust causes the ball bearing's to dig into and wear grooves in the tapered plunger and the ball bearing's will no longer snap into the groove in the bottom of the sleeve. Your's may not be this bad and may only need cleaning, greasing and new ball bearing's that you can get from true value hardware like I did. Mine was worse than this and I "TIG" welded the grooves in the tapered plunger and re-fit it by hand with a file and fine sandpaper ( my metal lathe is apart at the moment). I finished it off by polishing it on a felt wheel with polishing compound in a dremel tool. Now it work's like a charm. The ball bearing's I bought are 1/4" in diameter and were chrome plated, maybe stainless would be better but I could'nt find any. You should also have a fast dump position if you move your loader joystick to the right until it snaps over, although it is not a maintained detent and you need to hold it there, if it's like mine. You can also remove the ball bearings and it will work but you will need to hold it in float. Or maybe you can swap plungers and bearing's with the fast dump position, the part's are the same except for the sleeve at the bottom so don't swap that. Check it out and let us know what you find, I'm betting this is the problem. Good luck, Ken .
