Hello All - I barely hit a tree root and the frame on my MMM bent. I can understand if I hit it fairly hard, but I didn't. I had it fixed and the first time I took it out I hit another root and bent it again in the same place. And again I just barely ran up on the root.

Anyone else have a problem with their MMM frame bending or is it just me? I have a BX2370. :(

I'm surprised, we have two BX's with 60" MMM decks and have it all sorts of things from roots, posts, landscape timbers to a boat anchorand they are still working well.

I haven't had that problem but I seem to recall reading another discussion about a similar issue. Maybe someone else's memory will be better than mine....lol

I put about 250 hours on mowing with a BX2660 MMM in three seasons. It worked beautifully, without any deck issues. And I just finished about 200 hours of mowing with a B2620 MMM. The floating deck should be able to withstand the usual bumps and scrapes that one encounters if the platform and the anti-scalp wheels are properly set....IMO.

Hit numerous obstacles...even managed to snag gauge wheel and twist shaft a little...but no deck issues...

Be interesting to see what is exactly bending on your mower deck?

I've got probably the same deck (don't think they changed anything) and I've hit small bolders and roots with mine and nothing more than some scratches.

Thank you for the replies - it's not the wheel that's bending it's the frame and I am not running into roots etc. hard enough to IMO bend the frame. My purpose for asking the question was to determine if the frame is defective. Anyone that has had a similar problem please let me know. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.

If you could provide some pics, that would help others help you. And until you specified that it was "the frame" that bent, I don't think anyone would have known what you were referring to (no offense). I sure didn't--I figured you had bent a blade, or possibly the "shell" (can't think of the proper word right now) of the deck.

Perhaps of equal importance: can you elaborate on what you mean to convey with "I had it fixed"? That might shed further light. Welding? "Heat and beat?"

Thanks.
