Mo\' Lights
Well, I think I am done installing lights now and am all ready for winter. The attached photo shows the KC HiLITES Lite F/X Driving lights (Model 336, 85 watts each) I installed on my NH TC25D today. I mounted them on the ROPS and ran the wires, encased in the black plastic sheath I had left over from installing the rear facing flood lights (see Saturday Project). The lower left picture shows where I mounted the switch that came with the lights. Down and to the left of the driver's seat.
I lengthened the fused (20 amp) wire supplied with the kit and ran it directly to the battery, so I had to fish the sheath and wire undeneath the central tunnel where the factory cable ran. Once in the engine compartment, I tie wrapped the wire to the positive cable that runs from the battery to the starter then connected the wire to the positive terminal of the battery. The picture in the lower right shows the lights with the ROPS folded. I had to leave a little slack in the sheath coming down the left ROPS support (looking from the rear) to allow for folding of the ROPS. I also had to lengthen several of the wires that came with the kit to reach around the perimeter of the ROPS. With the ROPS folded and both the driving lights (facing to the rear) and the flood lights on, I can almost take x-rays! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
