I lost some hydro fluid on my Kioti (no fault of the machine) and rolled down to tractor supply about a year ago to top it off. Put in about 4 gallons over time (leaking hydro on an implement) and.. Well, the hydro just didn't "sound right". When I moved the wheel to full lock, it complained. I had a couple "lost power" situations when mowing. It just wasn't "right", if that makes sense to anyone.

Anyway, I finally got sick of it and decided let's start over. So I dumped it all today and replaced it with Mobile 424 (purchased from Summit Racing, good price, amazing delivery!). Wow. That's all I can say. Everything is SO much quieter. The machine feels more powerful. The loader doesn't whine going up and down. It's a huge difference. I was hoping it would be "noticeable", it's WAY more than that. I had no idea how much a difference the fluid could make. I was refilling my lost fluid with Travelers Universal and perhaps it wasn't mixing well with whatever the dealer put in there. But, either way, the Kioti loves the 424, that's for sure. It's so much quieter now, the loader is smoother. It's just "better".

Just wanted to relate the experience, 424 is good stuff for a Kioti NX, that's for sure.

I also use 424, it's spec'd as a Kubota UDT substitute.

Just checked this out the Summit Racing web site. Looks like an excellent price on an excellent product. For those of us who live in the sticks, the free shipping is very attractive too.

Supplemental: for some reason the embedded link in my text tales you to A VigLink page where you need to click below the Summit Racing icon to get to the real page.

looks like its only sold in 5 gallon pails. Wish it was also available in smaller containers as I only need 6 Gallons.

Summit Racing sells it in 5 gallon & 2.5 gallon containers.

is the 5 gallon the same as the 2.5 gallon? One says High Performance the other Multi-purpose. Looking again I guess its all the same. Ordered 3- 2 1/2 gallon jugs to fill the tranny and front axle.

Just an FYI, I ordered 3X5 gallon buckets from Summit and they sent me 6 2.5 gallon containers. That's actually better for me most of the time, the 2.5's are easier to deal with. I built a transfer pump specifically to move hydraulic fluid because it's such a PITA to empty the 5 gallon containers, I used it on the 424, but I could have used a big funnel (which you never could from a 5 gallon bucket).

I would typically buy something like this locally, but I just couldn't find it. Sure, I could get SUDT, but it's way more expensive, not on the Kioti list (IIRC) and I'd have to pay sales tax on it! So yeah, just coming home from work to 3 boxes filled with the right oil, yeah, that's really nice!
