I have same setup, just be sure you have the tank locked down to the trailer so it can not move.
It is bolted down. 2 bolts in the back and 2 in the front.. It ain't moving anywhere.

I had thought about that as well. I'm only keeping 50 gal in the tank at most and even though that is heavy, the trailer is not really going to be on the road very often. The fuel station is about 4 miles away, one trip there , the tank would be empty, the ride home it's full. Then I can still use the rear of the trailer for other stuff if I'm pulling it behind the tractor.I would think that you would want to move the tank to the rear of the trailer a bit from where it is now. That would put a bit too much tongue weight on it if it were filled at that extreme front of the trailer.
Of course you want to have a couple hundred pounds more weight in front of the axle than is at the rear but you certainly don't want all of your weight on the tongue either.
Glad you thought to bolt it down, I did not think about mine moving and it did. Only problem was hose got jammed and bugger to move back so hose could come out.
How about a solar battery charger for the battery, will it get enough sun light for that?
