I have a piece of land with a 28x80 doublewide - its a newer trailer, but was trashed out and left to be scrapped.
my land is hilly but I have a level spot to put a couple of conex boxes
was thinking of setting the two boxes as far as possible apart and set the frame over them - supporting one end on the hillside, a connect at 10 or so feet, and the second supporting the other end with 4 feet or so of overhang.
I then want to deck the top of the frame and use the mobile home roof joists to make a large screened in porch on top of the two shipping containers.
how do I calculate the distance I can use as an unsupported span?
I want as much area between the boxes as possible as I have a truck and tractor I'd like to store under the deck - plus the covered work area is nice.
