Tractor
Kioti Dk50se hst
I am in the market for a new tractor. I went to my Mahindra dealer today and drove a 4035 hydro which I hated. I then drove a I then drove a 4035 pst and a 5035 pst which I loved. I started my search over at Kioti and then started studying the BH specs. I cannot believe the specs on the 595 BH. Bucket force of 5700 and dipper force of 3200 lbs. Kiotis largest hoe was 2000lbs less on the bucket force. An incredible amount. I am going to be digging a lot of stumps. Are these real numbers by Mahindra or are they working them up some how? Also the depth was almost 2ft deeper on the 595 BH. Am I missing something here or is it that much better? These specs if real will steer me towards the Mahindra. Thanks

Let me restate my original post. The Mahindra 595 BH seems to be a beast on the specs. Nobody else is close (kioti, MF, JD etc). Is this possible?

Every time i look a mahindra hoes, they look very much like bradco. And bradco is very much like industrial . So no I'm not suprised.

According to the spec sheet on Mahindra's site the 4035 comes with a 485BH. Big difference from a 595BH.
I'd look at the 4530.

You can get a 595 ho on the back of a 5035. I've got one. Don't know about the specs being off, but the Bradco built 595 will toss the 4 plus tons of tractor around, so it is plenty. If you are going to be doing serious digging, you still should be looking for a used construction TLB, or even an excavator with long reach.

I have been doing that. Searching High and low for an excavator. I decided instead to upgrade my tractor and do what I can over time to clear the land. What I am looking to clear(3 acres) is no bigger than 12" pine with a lot of 3 to 6 in smaller trees. The way I look at it is they cleared this country with horses axes and picks and I would think a larger tractor with a good BH will be light years ahead of that. I really do not want a another machine to maintain and operate so I am settling on the bigger tractor. How is the 5035 at digging the stumps? I am also looking at a Kioti of similar sixe but the BH has a lot less bucket force. I really wish there was a way to quantify the diff in the real world to see if the diff really matters.

I looked at several older construction TLB's, but like you, decided on just going with one machine to maintain that would fit in my barn. The 5035's main thing for me was it's heft, I wanted a bigger tractor that had HST for blowing snow. I would think the Kioti would not be that different digging stumps with it's ho. With stumps, especially STUMPS, you mainly just dig around them far enough away that you can tear out the roots. Then dig down several feet beside/below them to make an area when the dirt under them can fall down from the fine roots gluing them down to the soil. Once you get the underneath dirt starting to loosen up, you grab hold of one of the larger side roots and try to get the stump to rotate. Rinse/repeat. Finally, the underneath soil will start to loosen it's grip on the stump and you will get more movement... More and more underneath soil will fall away and finally the stump is yours for the taking. Most big stumps you can wedge between the bucket and the ho base... lift up and pivot it out of the hole. Smaller ones, you could probably move around with a thumb/bucket grip. But I have taken some out I had to dig a trench down and drag it out of the hole. One big double cherry stump, I dug a trench down and dug a deep hole next to it and buried it. Bigger ho or excavator would be better, but even the Kioti you are looking at would do the job. Just more seat time....
