Fortunately, it managed to shut down after 20-30 seconds (assume it finally stopped sucking engine oil through the turbo). Anyone else ever have this problem?

In response to a stuck throttle, that wasn't possible. The RPMs were pegged on the tach. I have not had the turbo checked since either of the instances.
