Greg,
I did indeed get the plans off cletrac. I don't know why they didn't sell more of these from the factory, it is great! If my machining capabilities were better, and my OC3 and welder were in the same spot, it would have been much easier. All in all if you are pretty comfortable with the instructions, you'll be fine. I have different U joints, etc. from the ones shown in thee plans and had to adapt but got some email help from the cletrac guys. The only words of caution are on welding the bellhousing, you really need to pre-heat and use special rod. I got the local welding class to use it as a demo /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif By the way, if your pressure plate is not looking good when you get there, I have an almost new one. Feel free to PM me.

Thanks Marty. I might have to call upon you in the future to get throught it, if you don't mind. The instruction wern't very clear to me, the web page isn't the best lay out. I'm better to jump into something on my own, anyway's. And I just put in a new clutch and pressure plate in this spring. And I all ready have a new modern model A clutch pack, just no tranny yet. But thank you for the offer.

Thank God I'm only about a hour and a half from Zimmerman's, they have been really helpful.
Greg

Ed,
I am not really a true Oliver follower. I ended up buying a friends OC3 that originally belonged to one of his family members. I just wanted a bulldozer, but quickly conculded without the slow down kit, it wasn't going to help me much. They are almost impossible to find and usually pricey, so this route worked for me, just filled up some winter evenings that I would have wasted watching TV. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't own one myself but grew up on them. My brother has one that I thrashed around pretty good last week bush hogging the pasture. A cousin owns 3 row crops. No Cletracs in the family. Landis writes some pretty good articles in the Oliver Heritage magagzine. That's why I asked.

Just one oliver OC3 here. It was my Grandfathers loader. It has a loader frame on it and dozer blade. So I got the best of both. My grandfather used it for almost 30 years for around the farm and as contractor. I'm using it to clean my lot. And one day hope to restore it. I not that big on oliver, Just the family heritage my little OC3 has.
