Model Number Help

Trying to make some sense of older model numbers is making me batty.
I am looking at the 790's and it's all good except the no HST. Now comes the confusion: What 3-5 year old model would be comparable to the 790 but with the HST? Was there a series like the 2x20 prior to current? Is it the 4115?
I do a lot of loader work, phd, mowing, maintaining 600' of gravel drive and want to add a backhoe in the future.
Due to the yard around the house and maneuvering, I need to stay on the lighter side of things but not too small.
I would love to spring for a new 2520 or even a 2720 but I just can't justify it. My old Kubota has more than a few war wounds and I just know it would be too painful to deflower a new tractor.

That would be the 4100...Then came the 4110 and 4115.

Now comes the confusion: What 3-5 year old model would be comparable to the 790 but with the HST?

That would be the 4x00 series (4200,4300, ect.) then the 4x10 series (4210,4310, ect.)

Going from lowest to higher hp, there was the 4010 (18.5), 4100/4110 (20), 4210 (23), 4115(think 25 and direct injection), 4310(35) and so on up to around a 4500.

What's confusing about these numbers is there was a much larger 4010 made earlier. Then there's the 2000 series before the current 2320 and 2520 (the first numbers representing the hp, more or less; the "20" meaning lower emissions than the "10"s), which are parallel to the 4100 and 4115 more or less (since the 2520 is direct injection like the 4115). The lower-numbered 2000 series were/are sub compact tractors.

All the others I've mentioned are what is called compact tractors with ground clearances of about 12" or more. The subs usually have about 8" and generally have the hydraulic cooler underneath vs. in front of the radiator on the compacts.
