Hi Everyone,

I have been thinking about the possibility of adding an adaptor to the front of my Chinese tractor to give me a front PTO dive take off. Whilst searching I came across this website that might just be a source of needed parts.

Laforge Front 3-Point Systems | Equipment Manufacturers and Suppliers

Go to their Equipment and Manufacturers Source page for a list of companies that might just make the needed adaptor.

Anyone have an idea as to what to bolt onto the front crankshaft pulley of the engine, to give necessary drive capabilities.

I know this might not be possible but without checking it out we will never know.

There are some adaptors already made for the main brands of tractors like JD, Case etc and Sunny make an adaptor for Chinese tractors brands

China Tractor Front Linkage and Front Pto - China Front Linkage, Front Pto

Has anyone else given much thought to this line of adaptors. If one can be used it would be a cheap way of adapting your tractor to using a conventional snow blower on the FEL. Less messy than a portable hydraulic system for sure. I seem to remember seeing a ball park price of $3,000 for the adaptor.

If it can be done (tractors vary a lot) from the front crankshaft pulley drive, it would open up a lot of possibilities for other equipment to, I would think.

Anyhow, thought I would mention this in case someone has already done the necessary work - we could all learn something. I would be very interested to hear others thoughts on this.

Thanks

I would toy with the idea of just hanging a Prince PTO pump on the rear and running a couple of hoses to the front with a simple motor control valve. Isn't the radiator a major interference?

Was looking for ideas and toyed with the adaptor. I must admit that using a PTO hydraulic pump sounds pretty good but you also need an oil tank of sufficient size to allow for heat dissipation from the oil. I know others have gone that route, but the expenses add up with a hydraulic powered blower as well.
Yes I have thought of the radiator which could be modified position wise but still think an in/out gearbox that lowers the output shaft, might work.
I don't like the idea of a long PTO shaft under the tractor from front to back lots of hassles and money for questionable benefit.
I did send off an email to Sunny to see if they had a reasonable solution. If they bother to reply I will attach the email - yah never know, they just might have something that will work. BTW, Sunny is also involved with Jinma manufacturing so there could very well be a product that will work.
