Does anyone have a 60/66/72" Mollinzi grapple on a Kubota 3130/3430/3930 tractor? How does it work? How much did it cost? Where did you purchase it?

It looks like it might be ideal for my Kubota L3430 with 723 FEL. Most of the Bobcat grapples I've looked at are so heavy (800 lbs or more). Mollinzi is around 400 lbs.

Any help will be appreciated.

I'd suggest the 48 inch Millonzi. Haven't heard a good reason yet to get one of the double grapple models. I just posted earlier this evening with photos on the topic so will not repeat those points. Bottom line is that you don't need more than a 48" grapple on a CUT of any size. Cheaper, lighter and probably more effective than the bigger ones.

Regarding where to purchase...PM to Joe@MI and you can buy direct from the factory.

I've got the 48" too, I see no need for a wider heavier grapple either.

I agree. The 48" should be plenty. I did manage to bend one of the top clamp teeth and the L-brace on the opposite side. I was in a tough torque spot trying to pull a tree, wet rootball and all, out of a steep creek bank. Here are a few pics of what the 48" can do.

I've done the same thing but it was a really dumb move on my part...trying to use the grapple as an anchor clamped onto a stump while using the backhoe. It worked just fine so long as the backhoe was pulling backwards and in line with the grapple but I put a slight bend in a top tooth when I started digging to the side. Torquing any grapple is applying force in a way it was not designed for just like trying to lift something with the corner of a bucket. That is actually one of the reasons that the smaller 48" grapple is better than the wider ones because we all get into situations were the load is not quite centered or in line and a narrower grapple will put less torque on the FEL or grapple itself.

In my case I just need to heat the tooth and bend it back. I haven't bothered because it doesn't affect the operation at all.

I thought about doing that too but came to the same conclusion. It's not bothering mine either so I have left it alone for now. All your threads on the millonzi 48" were very helpful. I'm glad I went that route. Had it about 2 months and have 102 hrs. on the L39 about half have been using the grapple.

Maybe we should start a "snaggle tooth" club. We'll just consider these to be war wounds and wear them proudly.:)
