Has anyone here seen the pallet forks from Montana? Are the forks permanantly attached or are they just held in place by gravity? I need to be able to lift a Macro bin full of liquid and then tilt the forks to dump it, so the forks will have to stay on even when tilted all the way over.

Hello JC. I will have this info for you and let you know. I don't have the forks in yet but have them on order. I have already requested the info and will get back to you.

Montana now has tree shears, grapples, forks, bucket grapples etc. for the skid steer mount. Did you already purchase the Montana or if not what size tractor are you looking at in the Montana line?

Will get that info for you as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Maka

Hello JC. I checked with Bob at Montana and he said that he may have spoken to you. In any case the forks are not fixed but I am sure they could easily be made to be fixed.

Well, when I get some in I will post some pictures.

Thanks,
Maka

Maka, thanks for the reply. Yes, I did call and talk to Bob. He told me that the forks sit on the frame like on a forklift. I haven't found anything that will meet my needs so will probably just have to modify them to work.

A local dealer checked into the grapple for me. According to the info that he got from Montana the grapple bolts onto the existing bucket. What I need is a larger grapple rake, so will probably buy that from somewhere else.

I am looking at the 5740C with FEL, 6' box blade, pallet forks and a 7' cutter.

Actually, I would check that info on the grapple. Actually they have the bucket grapple that we call a claw bucket. It bolts onto the top of the bucket and comes down over the top of rocks, slash etc. to hold it in place.

The actual grapple is a grapple. It just quick connects to the skid steer mount. I have the pictures of it and will send to you via a PM.

I think this is what you want and once you see it can let me know. They are brand new and some dealers may not have the info yet.

Sending the pics now.

Thanks,
Maka

If they sit on the frame like a forklift that should work for you The forklfts stay on the frame until you move them to a special section of the lower bar where there is a notch cut out so they will come off.

Unless they have made a change, the forks should work for you. They were a standard fork lift style fork. I've sold a few sets and I can tell you that they are very well made. Check the picture on the Montana site and you can see a notch it the bottom center of the frame. To take the forks off, you slide them to the center and the notch allows the fork to tilt out but in use, they are fixed top and bottom.
