Montana R3644 shuttle shift
New member I recent bought a Montana R3644 shuttle shift tractor that needed a clutch I did that and a glow plug relay runs great has 900 hours no mid PTO the issue I am having is with rear PTO first the spool valve was stuck for PTO got freed up and bought a new solenoid so it works now , I turn on switch light for PTO comes on I can hear a faint some thing engaging and when PTO dash light is on the power to spool valve is cut when switch and light are off there is power to spool valve seemed backwards . I did pull the PTO shaft gears look fine before tearing the rock shield off I wanted to make sure is not some thing simple . the other issue I am finding it seems like the shuttle shift two major clicks locks in reverse forward you have to hold forward and not like reverse its a slight click . I have only had a Kubota B8200 and a Yanmar 1500 . This animal is way different no operating manual , or trouble shooting guide . the replaced glow plug relayi works fine but there was a couple less prongs on it but fit and solved glow plugs not working . A couple wires by back of seat are not plugged into any thing but I did talk to one tractor place they felt lights maybe . Any info on a Montana R3644 shuttle shift no mid PTO I will take thanks very much. Oh the PTO shaft spins free , three point arm work fine ,

Some of the Montana's were made in S Korea and the same as the Long FarmTrac and the LS or LG.

I have been told its same as a LS I3040 place near me sold a lot of these but not local do not seem to want to share any info said if I got stump I could bring to them and they could try and diagnose , I can view a parts catalog put there were a couple models HST mid PTO , My tractor is shuttle shift 4 wheel drive No mid PTO . As I say I split and replace clutch myself and replace the relay for PTO and PTO spool valve and soleniod . When I turn switch on PTO you can hear a change some thing is engaging near front of trans ,is how it sounds . PTO shaft spins free . I want to make sure its not some thing simple before I start tearing major stuff apart . I did get a number for a place in MO Dimond to call and maybe they can assist me . One place in TX was crazy expensive for parts did have a tec that said remove rock cov I might have to remove the seat platform to do that. Want to make sure as I can that that is needed . I see the is PTO clutch I want to make sure for my model ware to access . there is a cover ware gear shift goes that I think will allow me to see PTO clutch , I saw a video but the model was different maybe HST or a mid PTO model . I will most like start taking things apart see why PTO not working
