Mine has been apart for a month+ while I got block and head tanked, cylinders honed 0.001" over and head planed - then chasing parts with M-F here and Iseki UK - ended up with an engine kit from Global. Engine (Iseki E3CD-T) has only 423 hours, so I had planned on sticking the valves back into a set of extremely nice seats. When I had a good look at them as about to assemble head the intake seat faces were visibly worn. First observation: NOWHERE in the tractor manual or engine manual is the valve angle specified! (most are same as insert seat, but some designs have a bit of difference between the two - so you really need the manufacturer's numbers). Measured it up as 45, so chucked them in the grinder thinking it would take only a very light kiss, but the apparent eccentricity of guide axis put one side a fair bit deeper. By the time it was cleaned up the margin was below spec - so inlet valves are trash. Having done many hundreds of heads over the years, I have never seen a valve with so few hours on it that horribly deformed/worn (kicking myself for not looking when disassembling!!!).

Of course, when it became obvious my only solution was new valves I found what is normal for this tractor and the original intake valve part number is no longer available (THAT is an absolute blessing!) but the change up part (375 7035 M2) is on backorder. What the next adventure will be is trying to find out if part # 624 2116 M1 from TB15 version of E3CD-T is the same dimension. IF I could cross the M-F number over to Iseki, I could have that answer in a 10 minute phone call to Iseki, but when it comes to M-F everyone denies they have any information or any obligation to support this tractor (or customer....something they feel is more appropriately their victim).
