yep, a creek with no name, flows about half-3/4 of the year. Im in Nebraska.

Thanks, I would not have guessed Nebraska. I don't get out enough :) I think I drove across Nebraska twice, it has been many years ago. I remember it being a long way east-west! The plains have their own unique beauty. I miss the open spaces sometimes.

I'd rather be up northeast where you are!

Well, grass is greener, you know? I think we all appreciate a change now and then. I can tell you, after you come to realize you can't do anything here without running into rocks and trees, you would value some open space. :D

I always kid my wife by telling her trees are a beautiful thing - at a distance :p

That looks like a nice location. Presumably, you are on the west side of an inlet, because the Atlantic should be to the left of your photo
You are quite right, the general direction of America is to the left of the picture, but we are hiding from the full force of the ocean and west winds behind a small island. Here is a larger view with my place (Kerliouarn) and the harbour in Loctudy where the boat in my avatar is moored. A few pics of what it looks like from ground level.

Wow, soulasphil- really nice! I'd heard that Brittany has its own version of French; looking at some of those town names had me scratching my head!!

eepete- we had a great time in that beast, doing all the maneuvers it can....

When we went to land back in Nashua, there had apparently been a shift change. The young man in the tower, after several "Please repeat last transmission"s and "Say again"s finally said, "Sir, I got your registration number all right....... WHAT kind of plane did you say that was???"

Guess he'd never heard of a "North American AT-6." :D

Notice how it towers over the Cessna-- the center window area of the top of the Cessna's wing almost came up level to the center of the T-6's spinner....

I'd heard that Brittany has its own version of French; looking at some of those town names had me scratching my head!!

Its not French at all, it's a Celtic language similar to what they have in Ireland. Still used by old people and sailors. Road signs are written in both languages. I know only a few words. My place is called Kerliouarn which means the fox's den. No idea who the fox was, but there are still many foxes around here.
