Decided to post my pics of chain-boxes and other stuff like chainsaw holder etc. Took many ideas from many users on this board. So if you see some similarities thank you! The main issue I have had is the lack of machine tools including no welder.
Details:
For the chain-boxes or toolbox I used 4x4 pvc for a fencepost. This is attached to the loader frame with some large permanent magnets (for linear motors that we scrapped at work). The magnets are quite strong even through the pvc, on bare metal forget it. This way not only did I avoid drilling or welding, but I can (with a pry bar) quickly remove the whole box and throw it in the truck. I had made some lids also but since the tractor is inside normally when its raining they were not needed. The chain is 20' 5/16 grade70 good enough for my purpose.
Chainsaw holder is pretty simple, just used some poly bushings to space out the boards. It rides good in there, sure beats putting it in the bucket and forgeting about it. It does limit the BH swing a couple of degrees to that side.
Also added a couple of "quick fist" holders for shovel and hammer. Naturally if I am using the BH I remove the shovel and chainsaw.
Anyway just some more variations that may spark some other ideas.
Next maybe I'll put a better cup holder and flashlight holder
Wow looks like it needs a wash also.
