fixed my boom. now want to replace main frame berings . has bolt that helps lock pin in place. bolt will back out but then tightens up. tried some heat but still not movable. pins will move up alittle then stop hiting nut inside? not sure. manuel not clear what in there.may call woods or ask the tractor repair shop. anybody ben here.bill

i figured it out. bolt threads were rolled over a little from all the slop in the system. just needed alittle beating with a hammer and punch to remove pins.b

Interesting pin retainer, TB. Your pin should have a dimple or slot
for the retaining bolt to protrude into. My guess is that it uses
a dimple so the bolt can keep the pin from coming out or spinning.

Of course, you will re-tap the hole and re-grind the end of the bolt
when you put a new pin in, correct?

Did you get new bearing inserts from Woods, too? I hope they are
not too hard to get out.
