This is part of the area yet to be filled. It was dry until last evening. It's raining again right now, which is why I have a little time to post these. The water table has dropped considerably and it will take several more days of hard rain to raise it again to the point where everything is saturated. Therefore, this area will likely by dry again by Monday if we don't get any more rain over the weekend. The area where I have filled as stayed high and dry. It only takes a few inches to get above the water, but those inches are critical.

The next step is to call the contractor and get him back in with his big excavator to finish digging the pond. What he pulls out will be wet, so I'll have him stockpile the spoil until it dries. then, I'll move it using the tractor and dump trailer. That will save a fair amount of $$$.

I've got most of the "tight" areas around the trees filled; the rest is fairly open and I can use the dump trailer more easily in the open areas.
