What size pivot pins should I use? The cylinders I bought have 1" pins. I was going to use 1.25" on the Yoke to Frame and Yoke to Bucket ( don't know the correct terminology). Or should I just stick with 1" since that's what's on the cylinders?

Bushings? Should I put bushings on any of the pivots? If so what kind? I built a bucket for a ford 1900 loader and there were no bushings on old bucket pivots.

Thanks again for any help. This has turned out to be a great place to get my questions answered. Much appreciated.

I would stick with 1" pins, those should be fine. As for bushings, you might consider them for the ends of the loader arms where the bucket attaches to the arms and where the loader arms attach to the tractor end of the frame. Especially where the bucket attaches to the arms. That is the lowest pivot and basically gets drug in the crud on a regular basis. With a greasable bush there, you can keep it full of grease and keep most of the dirt out.

The clevis end of the cylinders pretty much preclude the use of bushings on those points.

I guess I didn't understand your initial question. What I was refering to was a all steel tube bearing surface with a grease fitting and a internal grease groove around the inside circumference of the tube. All steel, no softer metal, machined to a fairly close tolerance with the 1" pins. I know you can buy these pre-made and ready to weld in place. I know I have seen them someplace but I can't recall a source of supply. Since these pivot points will be exposed to focused stresses depending on how the forces are applied to the loader, best to keep them all steel so they don't deform too quickly.
