I have read the other ROPS rattle questions. Tighten down was the general consensus.... my question is ... I have quite a bit of room in between rops and edge about 1/4 inch. but there is less space on the hinge bolt. There is a washer on outside bolt head end and on the inside of same end but none on other side(see attachment).... should washers be on both sides on inside? this would seem to make sense and be able to be tightened possibly?

Cornflake, you're missin' a washer. Add one on the other side (inside) and it should tighten right up.

Here is my solution. I folded the ROPS over and placed a piece of rubber on top of the bottom half of the ROPS. The rubber is thick enough that when I fold the ROPS back up I need to push the ROPS a little to line up the bolt holes. I used a piece of a mud flap off of an 18 wheeler but anything would work. Someone even suggested using a piece of an old foam rubber mouse pad which I thought would work well.

Anyway...it doesn't make a sound now.

Good Luck!

Thanks will probably do that to as well as replace the washer.
Took it apart this morning , didn't even need a wrench to get the nut off. thats bad!
