If the Legacy makes the list I'd also add the Deere Xseries, as I asssume you were referring to the 2210.

Yea, isn't it great! Having options to choose from should let us all pick out favorite.
After looking at the Kubota BX, JD2210, Simplicity Legacy XL and MF 2300, they all are missing something. I have high hopes for the NH TZ/CaseH DXxxE lines.
Maybe Kioti will introduce a sub-cut soon.

Personally I think all the sub-cuts are missing ground clearance, but I suppose that is what makes them such good lawn mowers and such marginal tractors. They will do lots of work, but at their prices it seems like renting the RIGHT tool for the job might be money better spent because the jobs would get done faster. JMHO.

I think the SCUT's are simply the modern interpretation of the garden tractor, ie the Power Kings, Allis 620s, etc.
I have a mitsu beaver circa 1985 or so with FEL, tiller, etc much the same size as a BX1500 and it is the handiest thing for landscape and weekend warrior duty. I can absolutely see the appeal of these versitile rigs. Per the ground clearance, hopping a curb or landscape edge is the most climbing these guys do in regular duty /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

They do, check their web site. It looks almost like a Massey. My personal favorite for styling; the Massey GC2300. Too bad there's no dealers around here for 100's of miles.

Kioti offers a Sub-CUT? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Are you thinking of the CK20? It is a small-chassis CUT.

Well, what they are missing is mostly a matter of personal preference, but since you asked.
The first one I looked at was the Simplicity, there were a lot of things I liked about it, but it was missing mass. It gives up a couple hundred pounds to the JD & Kubota and it looks like it's all in the frame.
The next one I looked at was the BX2230, the first thing I disliked were the hydro controls, I just don't like that rocker pedal, I want side by side pedals like the JD & Simplicity. The other thing is the hydraulics -- they appear to be an afterthought unlike the Simplicity which has the hydraulic control right next to the steering wheel where it belongs.
Next came a look at the MF 2300, which has a lot of the same problems as the Kubota, but didn't have the "fit and finish" of any of the others.
Most recently I looked at the Deere 2210, it has most of what I want but the long wide hood gives me some concerns about visibility. I did not get a chance to drive one since the only one they had was already sold.
I'm looking forward to getting a first hand look at the New Holland/CaseIH offering. Based on what I see on the New Holland web site, it may be just what I'm looking for.
