I've used 3 point equipment for many years but never anything with an hydraulic hook-up. I just bought a Frontier SB 3107 sickle that I would like to have the option of using with either my New Holland TN 65 or John Deere 4400. The coupling from the sickle fits the NH TN 65 but is too large for the JD 4400. It seems to me that I should be able to purchase an adapter (larger female end for the sickle coupling and smaller male end to fit the valve on my 4400). I have not yet looked but there are likely different diameter adapters. Is there anyone who knows what size adapter I will need? I appreciate any help.

I recommend starting your own thread (rather than resurrecting an old thread with an unrelated question) and getting the model numbers or pictures of the quick connects in question. Without model numbers and/or pictures, we will just be guessing.

Being as your question is more related to hydraulics than sickle bar mowers, I would post in the Hydraulics section.

There is an adapter for JD quick connects, you can find them at almost any farm supply store... KennyV

I have the JD 350 and have used it in the verticle and it works fine. I just pin the lift chain where I want it for angle. quick and easy. Very heavy wobble drive unit. A word of caution on all wobble drives. Make sure there are no guards or other parts that can rub on the back and forth movement of the arm. I do not think there is a better unit than the 350 imho. I cut some very heavy brush and break knives off frequently and replace them while blade is still in.
