New Holland Workmaster 75
Was using tractor to move hay last week. Went to house to grab lunch, shut tractor off and when I came back out to get back to work it wouldn’t start. Acted like a dead battery and heard clicking under dash area where fuse panel is located. Checked battery and it is fine. Assume bad relay. Replaced and still same issue. Checked all fuses and nothing blown. Replaced ignition switch and same issue. I’ve got 12volts at fuse panel, 12 volts at ignition switch, 12 volts at power distribution on motor and 12volts at starter. I’m at an absolute loss. When I turn ignition switch to on/start positions voltage drops to 5v and stays that way for approximately 5 minutes even when switch is in off position. Instrument panel doesn’t turn on either. I’m now wondering if it’s a bad safety switch somewhere.

Sounds like a dead battery. How exactly did you determine it’s ok?

I was thinking a weak battery or bad ground on tractor frame. Or a bad connect on the battery.

I had bad battery connect on three year old Odyssey battery this year. It was that darn "anti-corrosion" crap I had put on the battery terminals. Cleaned it all off - good as new.

Load test the battery, I bet it’s shot. Load testers are pretty inexpensive, $30 more or less.

Well I took a similar battery out of another tractor and had same issue. Took both batteries to local parts store and had them tested.

I would trace the battery cables to their ends and check the connection points. Remove them, clean the mating surfaces and reinstall.

I use amber Fluid Film on my terminals and lugs. Never have any issue with it. The black stuff makes good tree wound dressing as well.

Check the starter solenoid.
