My neighbor has a mortl 7' disc mower and I am thinking about buying it from him. He has it priced right and I know how he has taken care of it and he purchased it new at a local coop. My only issue is that I can't find out who made it. I did find a "manual" that is mostly not in english that shows that the 5 disc model would be the ht 210? Does this sound right and anyone know who made this mower, I would really be interested in know how much it weighs and where I could get parts if and when I would need them.

Thanks

I owned a 210 Mortl and used it for years. I had exceptionally good service from this mower. I never had any oil leaks or gear issues. The blades are changed by prying the plate beneath the blade and swapping (no bolts to swap blades). I would still be using it if it cut a wider path. On the down side....the mower is heavy for its length, it is louder than some, and a beast to line up and hook to 3 pt. sometimes. Also, no one local had parts or blades....I normally had to mailorder. I used Goforth in NC. I don't know if they are still in business. Go to Ziegler rear mowers online, maybe you can find dealers with parts there. Ziegler still sells this mower, but its a newer design. Also, try Ag Equipment USA online. Bottom line, if mower is in good shape and the length works for you.....I think you will get good service by it.
