motor oil for yanmar ym 2000

I am a new owner a YM 2000. I bought a owners manual for my tractor, but I really still don't know what weight motor oil to use here in North Georgia USA. Can anyone advise me on the best choice? I was thinking maybe 10-40. Thanks

Any high qualtiy DIESEL oil will suffice. Most dino oil is 15X40. Synthetics run 5 or 10X40.

I drive a diesel box truck with a Cat motor and i am in all kind of weather conditions year round and the best oil i've found yet is Mobil(Delvac?) 15-40. I have also used Rotella and Pennzoil and i like the Mobil best.

My tractor is also in N. Ga. and I use Shell Rotella 15W-40, however, I don't know good oil from bad oil.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I used the Rotella 15w40. Seems to work fine. P.S. does the hydro fluid normally look yellow?
