Iseki tx1300
Hello fellow Iseki owners. I have a Iseki TX1300 two wheel drive manual transmission. I have a chance to purchase a Yanmar 3 cyl diesel from a refrigeration unit. Do you think this swap would be doable or should I just forget about it. KE70 motor is running pretty good, but like all of them really noisy. Thanks.

I'm sure it is possible. I doubt it would be "easy". Earplugs/muffs/buds are an easier solution.

Thanks for the reply. I decided against it mainly because the Yanmar is from a refrigeration unit and the location of fuel input and hydraulic lines are on opposite sides of where the KE70 is.

Fuel wouldn't be a problem. I'm surprised the Yanmar has a hydraulic pump on it for a refrigeration unit. I can't think why it would need it. You might be able to do something with hoses. I would think the bigger issues would be the clutch and motor to bell housing adaptation. Not to mention you might have to lengthen the frame as the Yanmar is likely longer. Then your hood would be too short. I actually wouldn't mind seeing someone posting a "how-to" on this and was hoping you might be the one. I've been running across a lot of nice Kubota 3-cylinder engines lately for cheap which would be an excellent upgrade to the Mitsubishi's.
