I have a powerwinch model# VR 192 12V 3500# rated load. I'd like to mount it on the 3 Pt of my NH TC24DA to run a 600# roller up and down a steep bank to compact the rotted wood chips.. Not sure of the exact pitch...I can check it tho...but it's too steep to walk. Can't see why I'd have any problem, but figured I run it by you guys for any words of wisdom.

In addition...this winch is an older marine grade unit?? made by The Scott & Fetzer Co --- Powerwinch/Ja-son Division from Shelton CT. I've searched and searched the web trying to find an owners manual or something related to the power and remote control plug wiring so I can use it...found zilch. I'll attach a few pics in case someone is familiar with this model and knows about the plug connections or knows of where I might find a manual.

Thanx

Brad why do U think the winch is undersized? IIRC I would multiply the load by 1 1/2 its weight to determine what the minimum winch I needed.

I do have room at the top but if I use the tractor to drag it back up, I'll have to make up some kinda skid plate to keep the tow bar on the roller from digging in.

I have the exact same winch. I have had no luck finding anything for it.
I was thinking about just wiring a new switch on the side of it.
Have you had any luck working with this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin

This is for anyone else that might find this post and has this winch.

All you have to do is take it apart and put in a 60amp switch on the right side. That is picture 3 of the first post.
This is a free pull out and power in winch so when the swith is on it is winding in.
All you have to do for power is take the left side apart and attach to a 12v battery. Red on red and Black on black. I moved the balck contact to the inside so that I could have wires come out the open part in the back.
You can still buy the wires and plugs for power. Look on the next and you will find them.
Hope this helps.
