I use the same on my desk top computer and love it. Mine now is showing its age but it is no longer made. Don't know what I will do when it craters. I guess that I will get a Marble Mouse like I use on my laptop.

I can actually sit in my recliner with my computer in my lap and the mouse on the arm of the chair. It is leather though but I don't think it matters. All I can say is what a difference

Recliner arm works good for mouse, but I use a table for my laptop and a wireless keyboard in my lap, the laptop gets pretty warm in my lap plus I have the wireless usb receiver and the usb receiver for the keyboard and mouse plugged into the back of it so it's just easier to not move it around. I've tried several wireless mice and my favorite is an elcheapo from WalMart, Durabarad rechargeable 5 button mouse, I can program the right side button to take the page "home" after I have scrolled down a page and then click "Related Topics" and threads that I have read are greyed out. Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia Keyboard is the smoothest that I have ever used and I really like the split key layout.

I had a mouse make a nest on top of the battery of my 9N one winter and chewed the dickens out of my wiring making the tractor near wireless. Got rid of the mouse pad, replaced the wire and she been running good ever since.
