Tires Moving rear tires to widest setting

L2800, ag tires, believe it came from dealer with rear tires set 47 inches on center apart, what benefits will i get if i go to the widest setting, will it feel a lot more stable, not that it doesnt now, but was just looking at my manual about tire width and was wondering what other l2800/3400 owners have their rear with set at.

The answer yes , does make it more stable , but the FEL bucket and a BB will not cover the tire tread marks , in other words when using BB to grade or FEL to back drag some of the tire tread marks will not be covered or smoothed , not much though just about 1/2 inch or so on both sides .
I do have mine set at widest width and could tell stability increase immediately upon doing it .

Setting tires to widest on our L2550 made a HUGE difference in stability. Should have done it years ago. The trade-off is that mower doesn't quite cover the tracks...
