The seat on my just bought used X530 is to far forward for me. When getting on or off my knees don't have enough room to just turn and get off. I was wondering if anybody has moved there seat back. 3" would be very helpful. Looks like it would be pretty straight forward.

Have not done this, but looking at the seat bracket underneath, looks like a blocking could be added to key #11 and raise as well as elongate to move the seat rearward. Some fabrication to fit would be needed. Just moving the seat to the rear may not clear the raised part of that fender deck behind the seat.

Which seat do you have? The full suspension seat like "beenthere" posted or the simple sliding seat base shown below? You're saying with the seat slid all the way to the back you still have no room for your knees? If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you?

Let us know how you change it to accommodate..
Looks pretty straight forward to raise and push back to fit with a pair of blocks the right size and holes drilled to bolt them up.

After taking the seat of the slides I found that the slides were stuck. Had to use a block of wood and a hammer to get the slides to move all the way. used so oil and air and rags to get them freed up, gained about 2 1/2" . The fellow I bought the machine from must not have move the seat in a while. The seat is much better now. Thanks by the way the slides are riveted on not bolted.
