I do not know about the bearings but I am positive you wil ruin the seal! Do the bolts move at all?

I think Mike hit the nail on the head. Some mowers have left hand thread bolts that hold the blades on. I think Woods is one of them. When I bought my TL-1900 Iseki it came with a Sovema mower that had one left hand bolt missing. I like to never found one. I found a Sovema dealer in Memphis who sent me 2 bolts at no charge.

I spent hours trying to replace a bike pedal once. I think I had a 3' pipe wrench on the thing. Turns out it was a Left hand thread... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Which ever way it turns - right or left - an impact wrench is the way to go....

Seems to me, If it discharges on the left hand side it is left-hand threads & if it discharges on the right it would be right - hand .

I had a RM500 that was indeed left-hand threads.

yes it does have the left side exit on the deck,I wondered about the left hand threads, but wasn't sure. thats another thing that I'm thinking,I have just used the mower 1 time cause we didn't get the tractor and mower till the end of the season last year, but exiting on the laft side changes the way I have mowed for the last 18 yrs,now I need to go the other way to discharge away from house and everything else.thanks for the replies I'll try going the other way righty loosy, lefty tighty.
