Is anybody aware of a blade for the BX2200 60 inch deck that moves more air than the stock blade? Either Kubota or aftermarket. I'd like to get better 'pull' and dispersal.

Thanks,
- Patrick

I like my mulching kit - alot! No clippings, flap on deck not needed, took it off, better tree clearance, very much worth the $300.
As long as you don't put the blades on upside down - don't ask me how I know that

Was your mulching attachment for a 60" deck? I called the dealer and they couldn't find any mulching attachment??? Could you provide a model number and some pics if you could?

Thanks

Yep, the 60", I am suprised they don't have a model # maybe tractorsmart, I can check my manual stuff tonight and see if I still have the install instructions for the #. I am pretty good about keeping every document for my stuff.
Pics aren't much to look at, just some grey baffles that reduce the inside volume of the deck (to provide more grass chomping) and the blades. I know the dealer said the blades won't work without the kit.
I'll let you know, as I need to sharpen my blades tonight anyway, and if these is value in pics, I'll take some for you.

I'm very interested myself. I have a G2160 that I am trying to get to cut better. I thought the dealer told me there was a mulching kit for it last year, but now he can't come up with it. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I would think the decks would be similar and at least it's a starting point. No answer back from Kubota either and it's been a while (2-3 weeks) since I contacted them, but then with two or three recalls on the deck already... maybe they are contemplating on replacing the whole thing. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The mega-mo looks pretty impressive. Wonder if you could replace the Kubota mulch kit with it. You'd still have the discharge flap which is what I want to get rid of however.

Has anyone ever runt he Kubota mulch blades without the full mulch kit? I'd be interested in knowing how that worked out.

I like the high lift blades. I have a Kubota ZD21 with the new mulch blades and I do not run a mulch kit. They work very well on it, even in wet, tall grass...when sharp. I have went through 3 sets of them so far. On my Exmark walk behind mower I run regular high lift blades. I have a set of high lift for my Kubota, but haven't used them on it yet. If the mulch blades have a high rear on them, like my Kubota mulching blades, they will probably work just fine. All of the "Super Blades" are ok, but I always prefer standard high lift.

I just ordered a Kubota OEM mulch kit for the RCK60B-22BX 60" MMM...cost me $174 from Keller Bros. BTW, they are the only place I have found that even admits that a mulch kit exists for this deck.

That Kubota part number is: 70000-70468

FYI
Cheers.
