Mowing Mower deck & 3 point hitch for BX 25

I recently installed the 3 point hitch on my BX 25. I have a question. The mower deck raises and lowers with the 3 point hitch. Is this the way it's suppose to work?

Yes, and you can keep it there by rotating the cutting hight control dial to "TOP"

Page 18 of the mower deck manual..., and probably a good idea to read the right side of page 48 of the tractor manual as well.

Yep, and it is a very reliable and robust system. I also have a JD 2305 and have separate controls for the deck and three point; never has worked well.

BX system sounds superior to JD.

Far superior with this setup. I don't know about when it is coupled with the 3-point hitch, but am giving serious consideration to converting it. I posted about this on the JD forum.
