kudo's to everyone who makes this site awesome.
I have a BX2200 with a 60 inch mmm. My issue is that if I alow the guide wheels to extend about 1/2 an inch or so below the deck to help with scalping, even if I set the height at the highest level it still cuts way too short. I have extended the wheel arms down in the past, which naturally raises the deck height, but it leaves wheel tracks in my yard. Is there another setting somewhere that I can make which may help?

Thanks folks

These wheels don't adjust the mowing hight.
That's done with the mower deck hight adjustment knob .
Raise the deck as high as it will lift.
Set the nob on 1 2 3 or 4.
Now lower the mower till it stops.
I have the knob set on 4.
Once you have taken these steps to determine what knob setting you are going to be mowing at is when you adjust the guide wheels.
At this point make sure the Knob is set on the hight you decided on and lower the mower as low as it will lower.
Now adjust the guide wheels so that they are about 1/2 inch above the surface not *1/2 an inch or so below the deck.

I'm assuming that you are using the knob to adjust your mower height, like L. Brown describes. If you are, there is something wrong, because it should mow high enough. I'm assuming that your deck moves up and down O.K. with the hydraulic and that is not the problem. If that is the case it is either out of adjustment or some linkage is binding. They go through the adjustment process in the owners manual.

Clearly something is not right here. Are you able to raise and lower the deck hydraulically ? the dial know under the seat is for the deck height.First raise the deck all the way and then turn the dial knob. try using numbers 3 1/2 and lower deck on that and test the cut on your lawn. Mine is set at 3 3/4 for dry months or high grass. Just set the height to what you want should be fine. The BX has a suspended deck, Not floating .The BX decks hangs on the BX and never really rolls on the lawn. adjusting the guide wheels is to set it for the prevention of scalping and I set mine so its barely touches the lawn after its cut. The wheels only rolls when I encounter a bump on the lawn. This leaves a truly professional looking cut.

good luck!

Thanks guys for the replies, sorry for the delayed response. I did adjust the linkage that supports the deck and now the deck raises an equal amount on both sides. That seemed to help my issue....thanks so much for y'alls response.
