I have an old B7100fwd with 950hrs with front and rear pto that I am very happy with, but I have wore out the mower deck....(B48A). This deck is soft and needs constant maintenance. It also will not mow very high and I scalp lawn much more than I would like to. Are there any suggestions for a aftermarket belly deck or a retro of any type other than a rear deck? This is my last effort before putting tractor out to pasture and dropping 15k on a new rig.

I think you're stuck fixing old one or watching ebay. Also once in a while a dealer may have something. I'm from Wisconsin but bought a used Woods belly (348KB-2) in Nebraska off of ebay a while back for $100. Good luck!

Maybe check out if you can custom fit a new deck on to it. It's got to be possible. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

At 900 some hours its a shame to retire a really good tractor that works well for mowing.

I have a 1978 model B7100 geardrive with 500 hrs. When I bought it new, I didn't want the MMM so I bought a Woods RM48 RMM. Works good and I think I could have gone bigger.

My 1994 B7100 had a 60" MMM and mowed great with it. The number for that deck is RC60-71B. I have seen these for sale occasionally in our area but they're always over $1000.

The older B7100 did not have mid PTO so watch what you buy. Don't know which model you have. Mine runs off of front electric operated PTO(off of crank).

I have a 60" mmm for my b7610 that I may be looking to part with. (the wife wants a smaller mower that she can feel more confident in using...)

It hooks to the mid pto. Im not sure how well the brackets etc would work on your machine though...??

Thank you everyone....I have the front electric pto like LHoyer. I've now replaced all the bearings and it is running much smoother but still won't mow very high becauce of the belt from the front PTO rubs the deck. I am now thinking about putting larger diameter tires all the way around...say 2 inches, and that will give me 1 more inch of height.
Any thoughts?
