While moving some dirt around my pond over the past weekend I managed to bottom out on the belly mower. Decided to take the mower off after I got unstuck. Knowing that it's sort of a pain to move the mower around I decided to build a dolly for the mower deck. Used a couple of 2x4's running lengthwise under the deck and some 2 1/2" casters on each end.

That's a neat solution. Didn't it roll well on just the casters on the deck?

Mike,

When I took my deck off, it started to roll down the driveway. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif It moves well forward & back real easily, but pulling it sideways from under the tractor can be pain. Anyway, I'm trying to keep the deck on during loader work, I just pin it up in the travel position, and raise the wheels. There seems to be plenty room for under the deck for me. Of course, I'm not digging a pond, just moving some dirt back and forth until the misses tells me that's enough. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
