I will soon have a 318 with 4 hydraulic ports up front currently attached to the front blade. One set is used for the angling and the MMM up/down action so my questions are;

Does this work by providing a bypass in the hydraulics or ? How hard is it to install and what are the chances of getting air in the line?

Chris, if your 318 has both a snow plow and a MMM it should have a lock-out valve installed on the tractor. To check if your tractor has one take a look under the back of the tractor on the left side at the rockshaft cylinder, you should see a small brass valve threaded into the cylinder.
If you do not have one they are easy to install and I believe the JD P/N is AM39556. It should be kept closed when using the left front hydraulic outlets and open to use the rockshaft cylinder. Hope this helps.

Thanks Ken,

I will look for it tomorrow. HMMM is there another valve for the rear up/down as it seems to be on the same circuit as the front blade?
