mower-towing man tries to elude police

I am starting to think crazy trailers are attracted to me. I took the below picture on I-65 Southbound just 3 miles north of the Ohio River, in pretty busy traffic for Noon on a Sunday. Yes, it is a hot tub on top of a sedan! I could not tell what was keeping it from falling off, but the dude was doing about 55 or 60 MPH like it was totally normal! It looked like his axles did not agree.

Looks like he might be a tad heavy there. I wonder how much junk he has in the trunk.

couple years ago, we had a 3 strike felon try to outrun city police, county sherrifs, and state troopers in a stolen dually dodge with a tweaked up Cummins while pulling a 30ft. GN stock trailer... he took those guys on a ride from interstate, thru the projects, out around the mall, down by both of the major hospitals, across a golf course.. about 50+ miles all total...all the while troopers were hanging out the windows blasting out tires on the trailer and the truck.. !!
They finally put about 5 rounds out of a 12 ga. thru the radiator and waited for the engine to melt down.. Should have just shot the driver and saved the engine!!.

We just need different laws. For example, if you steal something then until you repay either the owner or the insurer (either labor or money) you can't get out of jail. This is on top of the normal jail time they would have gotten. Maybe let them out for the day to work but in the evening your locked back up.

Why is it that some low life can destroy $30k or more worth of other people's hard work? After all unless you were given all your money you had to trade your labor for the money you use to buy stuff. Since none of us are getting any younger and most of us would rather spend time without loved ones than at a job what is really being stolen is part of the limited amount of time each one of us have.
