mower width?

when it says 54" mid mount mower (RCK54-32) is that 54" of cutting width, or is that 54" of exterior deck width?

If its cutting width, does anyone know the exterior deck width? I have a gate and need to determine if I have to widen it.

54 is the cutting path width. I can't find the overall dimension in a quick search. Figure a foot though at least. I need 6' minimum for my 60" cut deck.
