I have a 951 Ford mower that I am trying to change the cutters so I can make sure I buy the right ones. After taking off the inspection plate on top of the deck and removing the 1 5/8 nut.
I am not able to remove the bolt. I have soaked it in several different compounds to loosen it and beat on it to no avail..any ideas

Welcome to the club. These old cutters are a pain. I have a old Ford also and you will have to torch them off and get new special blade bolts.
