Mowing leaves with JD x304 bagger

Hi, first time posting but made the decision to buy a new x304 with a lot of help from these forums. I have mowed 2 times with it and I love it! Lots of birch leaves on the last go around and I notice a good deal of leaves being blown out to my right just ahead of the deck discharge/chute connection. Any tips on how to baffle this? I have a 38" deck on the mower and have the height set to 3.5". It is vacuuming OK...no plugs. Just have to go over the same place several times to get all the leaves up.

any ideas for a leaf baffle on a JD 38" deck with the rear bagger hooked up? I see one available as an accessory for the 42" deck.....

i have a john deere x500 tractor with a bagger that has a power-flow and i have the same problem, when ever i try to pick up leaves or get into tall grass the material that i am trying to pick up just shoots out the side and front the only thing that i could tell you is to try and go much slower , thats what i have to do and it is a pain but it seems to work better that way.

Gentlemen, you need the leaf bagging kit for your perspective decks. I've never herd of a 38" deck on a X304. I suppose it is possible but it isn't available from the factory in that configuration.

As Homer Simpson would say: "Doh" you are right. I can't believe I thought it had a 38! Thanks for the smack in the head. I'm ordering the kit today.
