Mowing mowing with a rough cut

Hi all, got a ck20 gear and mowing with a 5 foot rough cut mower, need advice, how do you start off and stop, I am putting in gear, applying throttle loose out the clutch adding more rpm, to stop I am dis engaging the pto then the clutch as if simply depressing the clutch it makes a awfull noise.

on another note, I am having issues keeping the turnbuckles tight, if mowing ditches the mower will eventually contact the tire due to the turnbuckle coming loose and allowing the mower to move sideways, I have tried tightening the turnbuckles tight but it comes loose, maybe I have it too tight

On the turnbuckle issue. Does your CK have the setup where the pin holds these stabilizers at certain lengths? Or is it meant to be threaded in and out to adjust tightness? I have had trouble with stabilizers coming loose from the lower 3ph arms when a bolt that is meant to stay tight gets loose. It's one of my mid-mow checks.

Thanks, mine uses a turnbuckle, left and right hand threads so it tightens, there is a locknut, this is on both arms to setup side to side play and the one on the top link, no matter how tight I set the nut it comes loose, I am talking about 1 hour of cutting,

Still need advice best way to start cutting and stopping the mower without the aufull noise

Your starting and stopping method is correct. The "noise" you're referring to is the built in pto "over run" clutch that all ck20 gear drives have.
