Anyone doing this on their BX with MMM?
I have removed my BH and FEL twice now and it seems to get more difficult to re-attach these each time. Of course the determining factor is that I have no paved area to do this on.
I tried getting a couple of sheets of plywood to attach and detach, but the weight of the devices seems to throw them off level at re-attach time. Detaching is no problem, however.
I may try mowing with both FEL and BH this week...

I would be interested to know if anyone else is mowing in full regalia...:D

Thanks!

I don't have a backhoe, but I mow with the fel on my B2620. But my yard is sandy loam and pretty firm. I have R4's and it is OK. I did leave some marks turning tight around a tree until I realized I forgot to take it out of 4WD.

I'd rather have the loader off but there isn't a minute I'm not using it for something.

Not sure of your "system", but can you reattach the hydraulic lines just prior to reattaching the mechanical links? That way it may be possible to "lift" the settled BH or FEL back to realignment?

This is the way I have to do it.

Yes...When you pull up to the backhoe or front end loader the first thing you have to do is attach the lines. The problem seems to be an issue of "squaring up" and leveling the tractor to the implement. The "shifting" and general movement of the plywood surface on the ground is the variable factor in lining things up. Also, the backhoe has the outriggers to make things a little easier but even then when I start using them they will sink into the ground as well. I will have a garage and extra concrete "pad" area to perform my attachments and detachments in the near future, but in the meantime all I have is sandy soil to do it.
I'll keep at it and remove them for mowing...just doesn't seem right to have all that extra weight and length when mowing.
My real concern was " does mowing with everything attached do any harm to the tractor?"

I hear you! But when you see the you tube videos of "Messick's" for example, detaching and re-attaching the BH and FEL they make it look so easy! When I have my concrete surface, I'm sure it will be easier.

I have tried mowing with the FL and BH attached. While everything works, the amount that you are swinging in-front and behind makes any kind of manoeuvring around and next to things close to impossible.

Once you get the hand of attaching and removing the attachments, you will find that the conversion goes quickly.

We don't have a backhoe but, do leave the FEL on Kubota B2710 when mowing with both rear rotary cutter and the MMM. As I approach fence corner I just raise the bucket to clear fence and lower it after straightening out. Use the MMM more often than the rear cutter so, have to concentrate on the swing of the rear cutter when turning at a corner.

I seem to recall somewhere that there can be a problem with the mower and backhoe on at the same time. It has to do with raising the mower and topping out the three point hydraulics sends a surge through the system that can damage the backhoe hydraulics. The BX24 manual states: "Do not attach nor operate the mower with the backhoe still installed. When installing the mower, disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses of backhoe and connect the tractor outlet hose to the tractor power beyond pipe. If this is not done, damage of the control valve of the backhoes can result"

I also agree with techman that maneuvering would be awkward at best.

I leave the FEL on my 4060 when mowing with the bush hog. It makes the whole unit a lot longer, but I like the idea of having the FEL for counterweight when mowing the hills on my place.
