kubota L4060 hst
So when the church asked me if they could use the tractor to pull there float I said yes. I got it to start on Friday drove it to the church hooked up the trailer shut off the tractor went to start and again nothing . Well the paster call a friend of his that Is a Kubota mechanic looked at it found that the inard bolt on the starter solenoid was striped and said that needs the be replaced . Which he said could have been the issue all along . Which budges me because the kioti mechanic looked at it told me that was fine. So then I told him about how I could smell hydo fluid

Well if you were treated like **** from kioti from day one you would be up set from to . From the first year of having it six months down and you working on it everyday to get it running. And the run around from dealer and from kioti and I had my tractor looked at from kioti dealer I brought it to Dave at upper valley tractor and that mechanic told us that everything was fine no leaks. I went there because everyone said he was a great mechanic. Then Whittemore mechanic can out and fixed it. But it worked maybe a week before it didn't want to start. Also from day one have had a hard time getting it in to med range. That just put a additive in I did still have a hard time getting it . So yeah even one kioti dealer I talk two about it told me sounds like I got a lemon the I should call the AG. So I did . Hey if kioti want me to trade it then they should do a = trade.

Nathan;

I'm glad the Kubota mechanic was able to diagnose your chronic starting problem. I'm a little surprised that mechanics from at least two Kioti dealers did not notice the solenoid flopping around, but the important thing is that you have a fix.
"kubota m found to leaks under neath the tractor one coming from the lever the raises the 3pt hitch and some where on the left side near the back tire "
That's not good.
If you could do it all over again, and knowing what you now know, what tractor do you wish you had purchased?

I don't know what I would do. I do like how kioti has the fel lever and the over all station when you sit. I wish my grandfather kept the international that tractor never failed had 6,000 hr on it . I know that some of the kioti op don't like it when you attack the brand but if they had this one that I have they would feel the same. I guess if I had to do it again I would get the kioti but would have bought it from Whittemore and son. The services manager Matt has been very helpful. But I won't post on here with the attacks and bullying. In one of the post that some did they said that I should have a tractor if you can't afford to get it to the dealer I could have if my child wasn't sick. Her life and paying our medical bill is important. But this tractor running right is important to for helping to get kanuwodi art retreat up and running to help abused kids. So when it spends six month in the first year of owning down its very upsetting .

Nathan,

Hopefully you will be moving forward with some of the problems behind you. It can be frustrating. Been there... with tractors, vehicles etc. Keep posting... as I always find the info rewarding - learn something new everyday! My buddy had one of the first mini cooper S convertibles. Beautiful car etc. But he also had it in the shop 56 times over a 6 year period. Nothing major just lots of frustrating little problems. The initial run of any new design product needs time to work out the bugs. It may look great in CAD, in the initial prototype build but sometimes the problems show up which is unfortunate for the consumer.

Chin up...

So some light is shed on the 'lemon' tractor. Now the starting problem is a bad starter solenoid 'inard' bolt, which ALL mechanics to date, from everywhere somehow missed, and THIS definately makes it a LEMON, NO questions asked, right?!

And the OP couldn't finish his sentence due to seizures, yet he could take and post pics of his fluid leaks.:confused2::confused3:

Somewhere in the midst of all this he seems to make a promise to not post anymore about this: "But I won't post on here..."
Is this for real? No more 'lemon' tractor posts, mixed in with the, "working on it EVERYDAY for six months..." falsehoods?! I for one can't wait for no more posts about this tractor, the retreat that is STILL 'getting started' and everything that goes along with the whole situation. Maybe, just maybe, this forum can get back to the purpose it was intended for: ACTUALLY FIXING TRACTORS.
Here's hoping :pawprint:

CM, I'm not quoting your post because it's just going to be deleted, just like your rant in the other thread, not that this response will probably make it through anyway. I'm not sure why LaK has ruffled your feathers so much. I think you've stated your opinion and it's time to bow out gracefully at this point.

I find LaK a very interesting guy. I looked at his website (he previously posted a link) and the stuff that he can do is incredible. He has previously posted that he had a brain injury which is responsible for some "typo's" in his posts, but in other areas, he's got more talent and skill than the rest of us combined. I have no reason to doubt his stories and I wish him well with everything going on in his life. I disagree with his approach to dealing with his tractor issues, but understand his frustrations.
