Thanks for all the input, we also run litter crews ahead of the mowers and I did not realize how important it was to get all of the debris out of the way of the mowers.

Thats good. Most debris would otherwise just be chopped into smaller pieces and spread around among the cut grass. The toughest of it would damage the mower tho.
