Mt 125 backhoe add on parts

Hello all,

I have an opportuniy to buy a 2017 LS MT125 with a loader and scraper box for 10k. It only has 300 hours on it, it's clean, and been garaged. I think the price is good. The problem is that it has no backhoe with it. What parts are needed for the backhoe, aside from the attachment itself? Is there an install kit available through an online source? Is it worth the trouble to go this route, or should I just look at buying something new? The next rpoble, is that the hoe attachment may be very difficult to track down at the moment. Does anyone have any leads on availability (AZ area), or has anyone used an aftermarket generic backhoe attachment?

Don't use any aftermarket 3 point BH' unless you want to break the tractor in half! The MT 125 has a 1/2" thick by 4-6" high steel subframe that mounts from the front of the frame all the way to the rear where the BH mounts to it.

Then, there is the hydraulic plumbing that has to be installed to power the BH.

Can a driveway mechanic install it? Yes, but it won't be easy and time consuming.

A call to the dealer can get you a price for the whole package. You'll pay almost the same amount you paid for the tractor now. You might (outside chance) find one being sold privately, but highly unlikely.

I had my 125 for just over 2 years and 220 hours, all trouble free hard hours. It is a great machine! Very strong for it's size.

IMHO, you would be better to get a tractor that is already set up with a BH than trying to add it later....
