LS MT 125 (still waiting for delivery)
My new tractor will be arriving next week. It’s a MT125 with a Loader and Backhoe. My problem is there is no where to store it to keep it away from the elements. I know my wife would not like it if I take her car out of the garage and move the tractor inside. Is anyone keeping their tractor outdoors? For now I am purchasing a cover that should cover the back of the seat to the front of the hood. I found it on Amazon for $79. Any one using one of these cover?

No cover. Mine has been outside about 20 of the 24 months I've had it. I built a new shed addition just for it, but sometimes I just don't feel like bothering with driving it inside.

I bought a Logic Shelter to keep my tractor out of the elements. It is 13'x20' and has plenty of room. When the shell wears out I will skin it with metal roofing.

I seen those at northern tools and Amazon. How long have you had the shelter?

Second year with mine. Neighbor has had his up for three years. They seem to wear well in our tough climate. I think I ordered mine from either Lowe's or Home Depot.

You can also buy the replacement panels for them.

mine will be stored in the garage until the new building is completed, right next to the golf cart/estate maintenance/wife's toy. Those fabric shelters will quickly transport themselves into the next state when the winds kick up around here and a fitted cover will be an invitation to field mice to build nests.. the best defense against field mice/pack rats here is a hard building on a slab with very secure doors.. Owls and feral cats help too :) Even still, I've seen mice run into a building right along side someone opening the door.. they're cute but insidious.
Living in the desert has it's challenges.. but I get this view out my kitchen window:

I didn't like the idea of mine sitting out all the time either but I won't be able to add a lean to on the shop until next year. I decided to get a large tarp but didn't like the idea of it rubbing the paint off in the winds we get and then having to remove and reinstall it every time I needed to use or move the tractor. I then decided a metal carport would be better but I need it moveable as it would sit on the driveway in front of the shop that has 3 doors/bays and depending on what I was getting out, it would have to move. None of the metal ones were designed to be portable that I found so I made a PVC frame for the tarp I purchased. I secured the bottom PVC to boards that the tractor tires sit on to keep it from blowing away.
I must admit, in my head the cost wasn't going to be much but It ended up with a few revisions and total was about $350-400 including the tarp and boards, barely cheaper than a metal carport but it is what it is and its moveable. If I had a way to weld aluminum, I would have made it from aluminum. I actually considered buying a TIG welder for this since I've wanted one for years but couldn't justify the cost.

So far it has held up well and kept most of the elements off it. I just use the front bucket to drag it where I need it.
