I have a MT4201 with a 3pt that will not lift. I have had the loader control valve rebuilt, checked all the valves for blockages and replaced the 3pt control valve inside the rear end. I am at my wits end on this tractor any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have had this same issue on two different Mitsubishi models. The first time was due to a small piece of RTV stuck inside a port in the control valve. The second time was due to a piece of trash holding the 3pth relief valve open. Sounds like you have covered both of these possibilities.

Is your loader working now and it's only the 3 PTH that is not functioning? Assuming it's only the 3pt that does not work.....

Have you checked the seals/orings on the 3pt lift piston to make sure they are OK?

Can you install a pressure gauge in the lift circuit to make certain you are getting correct pressure? On my current tractor (MTE2000D) if I remember correctly, I was able to put a gauge in place of the flow control valve (valve w/ a twist handle that is between your legs/under the seat while sitting on the tractor).

first check all the quick connects make sure they are plugged in all the way and are correct.make sure you have enough hydralic fluids.veryify that your hydralic pump is working.check your hydralic strainer/filter.check your adjustment to make sure you are not bypassing all the pressure.call valley power if all fails.good luck.

The loader works fine, as does the power steering. When we replaced the main 3pt control valve the 3pt lifted. We lowered it and attempted to lift it again and nothing. The connections are good and the fluid it at its proper level. The system has been bleed for air. The 3pt will lift fine on air pressure. Today I am going to check all the hoses and make sure ones is not kinked or collapsing. My mechanic says he has checked everything he can think of for blockages but sometimes I just don't know about him :confused2:

I wonder if the relief is either sticking or bypassing early. A 0-3000psi gauge is only about $15 and 3/8" NPT pipe fittings allowed me to put it in in place of the flow valve. This puts the gauge in the 3 pt cylinder head and can help eliminate the relief valve.

The 3 point control valve probably has dirt in it. It only takes a spec. I've been there /done that. Cleaned valve. It works a couple times , Then quits working. Measure the thread length before disassemble, so it is adjusted correctly

Thanks for all the posts guys. Well progress so far. now the 3pt will raise but it will not lower. I imagine a valve is clogged somewhere it is just the point of finding which one now. The only way i can get it to lower is to open a port of the left side of the tractor (as you sit on it), after doing this the 3pt will bleed down and then I can lift it again.

your 3 point control valve is either defective clogged or out of adjustment.
